Women Centre

In 2011, a Women’s Centre was created under the municipality’s authority. The center was opened by four women who were council members at the time to increase political space for women in the community. The main activities of the Women’s Center are meetings, educational trainings and open discussions on issues and the development of the community’s priorities. During meetings of the assembly, the municipal strategic plan is discussed and amended in accordance with the proposals of the local women. Open to all the women of Ad Doha, it has a fixed assembly and the president is a female council member.
